One of the most common options for finishing ceilings is installing plasterboard with subsequent finishing and painting. This option allows you to level the ceilings and bring them to an ideal condition with the least amount of time, as in the case of plastering the ceiling, since the drying of thin layers of putty takes less time than the drying of thick layers of plaster, which then still needs to be puttied.

Drywall allows you not only to level the ceiling, but also to insulate and soundproof it. One of the indispensable properties of drywall is also the ability to install spotlights in it, which is not always possible in ceilings with standard filling of interfloor ceilings.

The process of installing drywall on the ceiling is as follows: first, the Veyrons are mounted. Veyrons are metal rods with threads that are screwed into a dowel previously inserted into the ceiling. In order for the dowel to be securely fastened and the Veyron to hold well to the ceiling, it is imperative to drill holes for the Veyron in the vigs - concrete guides that are the main supporting structure of the interfloor ceiling. In no case should Veyrons be fastened to brick, since in this case the dowels will not be securely fastened.

Since the veyrons are metal rods with a length of 2 meters, they are screwed into the ceiling with a small margin, and then cut with special metal scissors. This is done after special metal fasteners - piVo - are screwed onto the veyrons. These fasteners (piVo) are set strictly according to the laser level, and then the guide profile - perfil du teto (also called tese) is snapped directly to these metal fasteners. Along the perimeter of the ceiling, this profile is connected to the contuneiro (a special profile that is attached to the walls through tapes) or it can be connected to the aleta (a special profile that forms a shadow gap between the ceiling and the wall). In the case of the aleta, we do not see the place where the ceiling connects to the wall and this looks quite impressive. In the case of the contuneiro, the connection of the ceiling and the wall occurs at a right angle and this angle is clearly visible.

Выставление профиля на потолке должно соответствовать ширине гипсокартона. То есть расстояние между профилями должно быть таким, чтобы после монтажа гипсокартона ни одна из его сторон не висела в воздухе, а сам гипсокартон был полностью прикручен по периметру (и в центре листов) к профилю парафузами. Стандартный размер парафузов – 25 мм. В случае, когда производится монтаж перегородки из гипсокартона в два листа, их длина составляет 35 мм.

Выбирать гипсокартон мы советуем с фиброй внутри. Причем не столь критично будет ли он влагостойким или нет, как будет ли в нем фибра или нет. Гипсокартон без фибры гораздо менее прочный и часто крошится. Особенно часто это происходит, если надо закрепить саморез по металлу (парафуз) на угол гипсокартонного листа с небольшим отступом от края. Ну и конечно, если позволяет бюджет, то лучше использовать влагостойкий гипсокартон зеленого цвета.
